Good morning 2019-2020 Feds Student Councillors,

Whether this is your first time in the role or you're returning for another year on council, welcome to your 2019-2020 term in office!

What a year it will be ... with the introduction of the Student Choice Initiative (SCI), we have a task ahead of us to showcase value to our unique membership from on-campus students, to students at our satellite campuses, co-op students, international students, and incoming students who will receive their fee statement before they even get here. As Councillors, your perspectives and voices are essential in creating these conversations and bringing awareness to who we are and what we are here for as Waterloo's undergraduate student union.

You @ Waterloo Day is coming up on Saturday, May 25 and we have been given space to engage with these incoming students. These future undergrads are going to be looking for that campus experience part of Waterloo outside of the classroom, and we're going to bring it! We're looking to have a full force of students at our tents to hand out popsicles and have conversations with incoming students and their parents. Let them know what to expect, share your experience, and let them know that we are their student union and what we have to offer them!

We would appreciate your attendance if you're able to attend, whether that be for the full day or a few hours.

Set up: 9-10am
Event: 10am-2pm
Clean up: 2-2:30pm

Please reply to this email if you can come by May 21 to let me know what times you will be here for. We will follow-up with those attending to provide additional day-of details next week.

Thank you and we hope you will continue to have conversations with your networks to encourage students to make informed decisions on their next fee statement.

Thank you!
